I lived in a one bedroom unit at the Bloomfield Apartments for 2.5 years and loved it. It was spacious, clean, and cozy for the price. The complex is mostly "young professionals," so it's quiet. It's also pet-friendly. In my opinion, Sofield is the best rental company in Boone. Despite the Google ratings, they have a good reputation. My first landlord (Deena) was exceptional and my most recent landlord (Autumn) was great too.
I had a Bloomfield unit for 6 months, reasonably priced and clean on move in. I got my full deposit back just by doing some basic cleaning and they didn't try to charge me for stuff that I didn't cause. Only major issue was I didn't feel like I had enough time to decide whether or not to renew. I understand though because it's a college town. I'd rent from them again.
